How it Happened
Set One:
Trinity clung to an early 4-2 lead before a Seward kill sparked a 4-0 run to give the Seahawks a 6-4 advantage. After trading points, Keiser tallied the next nine points to take a commanding 15-6 lead, highlighted by four service aces from VandeHei. The Seahawks continued to cruise to a 25-12 victory and a 1-0 lead in the match.
Set Two:
With KU trailing 2-1, a Sanchez kill ignited an 8-0 run to put KU in front for the first time in the set, 9-2. Trinity got as close as 13-9 when KU grabbed the next seven points to claim their largest lead of the set, 20-9. Keiser continued their momentum down the stretch, winning 25-16 and taking a 2-0 lead on the Tigers.

Set Three:
The Tigers held a 3-2 lead until a
Ryelle Cox kill jump-started a 6-0 spurt to put Keiser back in front, 8-3 and force Trinity into a timeout. Trinity cut the deficit to one, 9-8 but the Seahawks would continue to build on their lead and pull away late, winning 25-17 and completing the sweep.
