Highlights
The Keiser volleyball team fell in their first road conference game of the year at Southeastern on Wednesday evening by a score of 3-0. Freshman
Abbie Seward led the Seahawks with an all-around performance this evening, racking up 13 digs, nine kills, and five blocks.
Faryn Salazar finished with 23 assists and
Morgan Leff had a team-high 17 digs.

Set One
Southeastern started the match strong taking a 5-1 advantage and forcing the Seahawks into an early timeout. Keiser responded out of the break with four unanswered points to tie the set at five-apiece. The Seahawks then claimed their first lead at 7-6 and led by as many as three, at 11-8. However, SEU answered with four straight points to retake a 12-11 lead. The set remained close with KU clinging to a one-point advantage through seven ties until it was all squared at 18-18. The Fire then claimed the next three points but the Seahawks matched them, knotting it at 21-21. Keiser had a chance to win the set at 24-23 but a SEU timeout shifted the momentum. An unforced error retied it at 24-apeice, and the Fire went on to win the set, 26-25.

Set Two
SEU notched the first three points before a
Lindsey Keegan kill started a 4-0 run to take a 4-3 advantage. The Fire responded with a 15-5 spurt to retake an 18-8 lead. The Seahawks made one last run getting to within 19-13 behind a pair of kills by Seward, but the Fire went on to win 25-16.

Set Three
The set remained close in the early going before Southeastern opened up a 15-10 lead. After both teams traded 3-1 spurts, three consecutive kills by Seward,
Amanda Medlock, and
Samantha Thompson got Keiser to within 19-17. Each team then traded points before two straight kills by
Melissa Williams got the Seahawks to as close as 21-20. However, the Fire scored the final four points of the set, winning, 25-20.
