The No. 7 Seahawks netted a late second half goal to defeat NCAA Division II, Lynn University 1-0. With the win,
Mat Dunn notched his 100
th career win as a head coach. Dunn began his tenure in 2011 with the Seahawks and holds a 100-21-8 overall record.
Turning Point
The turning point this evening was the lone goal scored by
Ebba Gustafsson in the 80
th minute off an assist by
Filippa Millqvist. Keiser controlled the entire game, outshooting Lynn University 31-3, including a 10-1 shots on goal edge.
How it Happened
- Keiser University held a 15-0 edge on shots in the first half but were unable to break through, to remain scoreless at the half.
- The Seahawks fired off eleven more shots in the second half before Gustafsson scored inside the six-yard box off a cross by Millqvist from the left side, to lead 1-0.
- The Keiser defense did the rest during the final ten minutes to preserve their second shutout of the season.

- The Seahawks are now 3-1-1 all-time against Lynn University.
- This is the second straight year that Keiser has defeated the Knights, 1-0.
- Tonight was the first of two games on the year against an NCAA Division II opponent. Keiser will battle Albany State on September 17th.
- Millqvist has recorded a point in the first three games of the season.
- The Keiser defense held Lynn to three shots, which matched the amount Menlo had against the Seahawks in their season opener.
- Eleven players recorded a shot with Gustafsson having a match high five. Tova Nilsson and Millqvist each had four.
- Elsa Netz earned her second shutout of the year while only having to make one save in goal.

Coach Dunn said, "The girls bounced back tonight after a poor result on Saturday. We deserved the win tonight and should have added more goals. To have 31 shots is great, but we need to score more goals. We will enjoy this win tonight but will move on to the next one on Thursday."
