Set One
Siena Heights led in the early going before a kill by Seward and an attack error tied it at 4-4. The Saints rebounded and stretched the margin to 9-5 but a pair of errors allowed the Seahawks to get within 9-7. With the score 23-15 in Siena Heights favor, KU rallied with four straight points to close within 23-19, but the home team called a timeout and won the final two points of the set, to take it 25-19.

Set Two
Keiser took their first lead of the match at 3-2 on an attack error and held the advantage through five ties with the final one happening at seven-apiece. Siena Heights briefly took an 8-7 lead, but a 4-0 run, which featured kills by
Melissa Williams and Seward, forced a timeout with KU in front, 11-8. The Saints answered out of the huddle, scoring five straight to regain a 12-11 advantage, but a Robinson kill quickly knotted it at 12-12. The set would be tied one last time at 15-15, when the home team outscored KU 10-4, to take the set, 25-19.
Â
Set Three
The Seahawks jumped out to a 3-0 advantage behind kills by Seward and Thompson and continued cruising until the score was 18-12. The Saints then got going by scoring six consecutive points to tie the set at 18-18, and forcing Keiser to call a timeout. Following the timeout, an error and kill by Seward gave KU the lead back at 20-18. Siena Heights then had one last push in them, tying the set at 21-21, but KU closed it on a 4-1 spurt, claiming their first set of the year, 25-22.
Set Four
Keiser held a slim 2-1 lead before the Saints grabbed control of the set and went on to win by a score of 25-16, dropping the Seahawks to 0-2 on the young season.
