Turning Point
The game-tying triple off the bat of Berges in the bottom of the ninth proved to be the turning point for the contest. With Keiser down to its final out and a runner on second, Berges delivered the game-tying triple over the right fielder's head to send the game into extra innings. The Seahawks would go on to win in the 12th inning, 19-18.

How it Happened

  • The Royals trimmed the Keiser lead to 3-1 in the top of the second as Josh Canabal led off the inning with a blast to dead center field.
  • Keiser earned the run back and then some in the bottom of the second inning, plating six runs on four hits and one Warner error.
  • The first run of the inning came off Mundo's double to left center, plating Miguel Casanueva and sending Zack Saldivar to third.
  • The next Keiser run came off a wild pitch, plating Saldivar and placing Mundo on third.
  • After back-to-back walks loaded the bases, the Seahawks scored two more runs on the next at bat following Pena's fielder's choice RBI plus a throwing error by the Royals' shortstop.
  • The final two runs of the inning came off Curtis' second triple of the game to bring home Faneyte and Tyler Hitt for the 9-1 advantage.
  • Keiser stretched its lead to 13-1 after the third inning, scoring four runs on four hits and one more Warner error.
  • The first two runs of the third came off the bat of Berges with a single up the middle to bring in Mundo and Saldivar for the 11-1 advantage.
  • Pena notched the final two runs of the inning with a sharp single to third that bounced off the diving infielder and wound up in the outfield, scoring Myott and Berges for the 13-1 lead.

  • Warner was not done with its rally as Jordan Pike blasted a three-run shot off Brandon Acevedo with nobody out in the top of the sixth to cut what was once a 12-run lead down to just two.
  • Francisco Arias came in to relieve Acevedo, recording three consecutive outs to stop the bleeding.
  • The Royals capped off the comeback in the top of the seventh with four runs off Miguel Castellanos, running their unanswered run count to 13, claiming the 16-14 lead.

  • The Seahawks nearly claimed the lead as Dylan Dore lifted a long ball to left field that was caught on the warning track just shy of the wall that could have been a three-run homer, ending the inning.
  • Keiser stayed alive in the bottom of the ninth with two outs as Mundo roped a hard single to right field, bringing Berges up to the plate with a chance to do some damage.
  • Berges delivered for the Seahawks, lacing a triple over the head of Chase Coon in right field, bringing Mundo home for the game-tying run to send the contest into extra innings.
  • The Royals nearly laid claim to the lead with runners on second and third until Xanders Vazquez grounded out to third as Curtis laid out to make a game-saving, SportsCenter-worthy play to end the inning.
  • Keiser loaded the bases in the bottom of the 10th with one out and a chance to walk off with the victory.
  • The Seahawks were unable to plate the game-winning run as Casanueva and Saldivar recorded the final two outs to send the game into the 11th.
  • The Royals reclaimed the edge in the top of the 11th with Haney's RBI single over the head of the Casanueva to bring Rodocker in to score.
  • The Seahawks would not go away quietly as Berges walked and Myott singled with one out to continue the dramatic contest.
  • After Olive struck out looking, Faneyte came thru in the clutch with a single to left field to score Berges from second to knot the contest at 17-17.
  • Curtis grounded out to second to end the inning, sending the contest into the 12th inning and pushing the game to well over four hours.
  • The Royals scored for the second consecutive inning as Sotolongo doubled down the left field line to bring home Will Nelson from second for the 18-17 advantage.
  • Once again the Seahawks would not go away quietly into what has become a night game as Casanueva and Saldivar registered back-to-back singles to put runners on the corners with one out.
  • After Saldivar swiped second to place runners on second and third, Mundo delivered the game-winning two-run single to left field to cap off the longest game of the season and cap off the most dramatic game of the year with a Seahawk victory.
