The No. 4 Keiser women's tennis squad cruised to a 5-0 victory over No. 22 St. Thomas in the Sun Conference semifinals at the Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne, Fla. With the win, Keiser advances to the TSC championship match for the second consecutive season.
 
Doubles

• Megane Bianco and Julianna Heino cruised to an 8-4 victory over Victoria Slavina and Ksenia Slavina as the No. 3 doubles tandem put Keiser ahead, 1-0.
• Samantha Guy and Lorene Foerste extended the Seahawks' lead to 2-0 from the second doubles slot, besting Naomi Maehama and Cynthia Diaz, 8-4.
• Juliana Goncalves and Teodora Stanciu completed the sweep over the Bobcats in doubles play with an 8-5 win over Cassandra Lemieux and Marine Uyttenhove.

 
Singles

• Bianco pulled Keiser to within one of clinching a spot in the finals match with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the number one singles spot over Lemieux.
• Stanciu claimed the match from the final singles position with an identical score, besting Uyttenhove by the final score of 6-0, 6-0.

 
Coach's Corner
"Obviously we are really pleased to be playing in the title game and winning our semifinal match 5-0" commented head coach Daniel Finn. "I'm not sure if it was the rain delay or what but a lot like the men, we came out a little slow today. The ladies did do a great job of regrouping and playing some very solid singles to get us on and off the court with the victory today. We know we have a good one in front of us tomorrow so we will rest up tonight and get ready for what should be another good battle tomorrow in the championship game."

Keiser will take on No. 3 and top-seeded SCAD-Savannah tomorrow at 9 a.m. in the Sun Conference Championship match. The Bees defeated the Seahawks by the final of 6-3 on March 4 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
