Keiser Highlights

Turning Point
Keiser's five-run second inning proved to be the turning point in today's contest. The Seahawks plated five runs on five hits in the inning. Five different players registered one RBI in the inning as Keiser stretched its lead from 2-1 to 7-1.
 
How it Happened
  • The Seahawks jumped on the board first early on when Tivon Faneyte doubled to right center to plate Dylan Dore and Gabby Mundo for the 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
  • The Fighting Saints cut the deficit in half in the top of the second inning as Nick Powers singled through the right side to bring Petar Rumora home from third.
  • Keiser put the game out of reach in the bottom of the second inning, scoring five runs on five hits to stretch the Seahawks' lead to 7-1.
  • Dore, Keivan Berges, Faneyte, Shane Olive and Jack Curtis registered one RBI apiece in the bottom of the second to account for all five Keiser runs.
  • Dore stretched the Keiser lead to 8-1 in the bottom of the third with a single up the middle, bringing Tom Prospero in from third.
  • The Seahawks extended their lead to 12-1 with nobody out in the bottom of the fourth when Olive belted a grand slam over the left field fence.
  • Prospero extended the lead to 12 runs with a solo shot to left field just two batters later.
  • The final Keiser run of the inning came via Berges who singled up the middle to bring home Reyni Olivero from second base, capping off a six-run inning for the Seahawks.
  • Keiser added insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Seahawks scored four runs on three hits with RBIs from Berges, Carlos Pena, Tyler Goff and Miguel Casanueva.
