How it Happened
- The Tigers struck first and came out swinging as Tanner McLain singled to left center on the very first pitch and later scored on Ben Hill's sacrifice fly to right field.
- Kurtis Minton scored the second Olivet Nazarene run of the first inning with a single to center field, plating Bryan Klendworth from third.
- The Tigers scored two more runs in the top of the second to take the 4-0 advantage, capped off by Ryan Campbell's stolen base at home.
- Olivet Nazarene plated another insurance run in the top of the third when Gabe Sevigny singled up the middle with bases loaded to score Minton, while Sam Kippen was hosed at home trying to stretch the Tigers' lead even further.
- The Seahawks trimmed the deficit to three runs as Keivan Berges blasted a two-run homer over the left center wall and into the canal with two outs in the bottom of the third.
- Olivet Nazarene plated one run in the fourth and one run in the fifth inning to stretch the Tigers' lead back to five runs, marking the fifth consecutive inning with at least one run scored.
- Keiser clawed back into the contest with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning as Carlos Pena ripped a bases-loaded double to the gap in right center, clearing the bases to pull Keiser to within 7-5.
- The Tigers combined for two more runs in the top of the seventh and eighth innings on three hits and three Keiser errors.
- The final Seahawk run of the game came in the bottom of the eighth inning when CJ Fitzpatrick lifted a sacrifice fly to right field, bringing home Jack Curtis to cut the Olivet lead to 9-6.
