Turning Point
Keivan Berges' three-run shot in the third inning proved to be the difference maker in game one of Saturday's doubleheader. After Kyle Keatts held the Panthers hitless through the first three innings, Berges belted a two-out home run to provide the Seahawks with the 3-0 lead. The Seahawks would not relinquish the advantage.

How it Happened
  • Kyle Keatts punched out four of the first 10 batters he faced in the first three innings, holding Davenport hitless through three.
  • Keiser was held hitless through the first four at bats until Brad Myott roped a one-out double to deep right center field in the bottom of the second.
  • The Seahawks were unable to bring Myott home from second as Jack Curtis and Carlos Pena both grounded out to Matt Hoge at short to end the inning.
  • The Panthers placed their first baserunner on first in the top of the third inning when Hoge drew a two-out full-count walk.
  • Keiser scored three in the bottom of the third with two outs in the inning when Keivan Berges belted a three-run homerun to left field, bringing home Gabby Mundo and Zach Saldivar.
  • Davenport's first base hit of the contest came in the top of the fourth inning when Oscar Heredia reached first on a bunt single to third.
  • Keiser stretched its lead to 6-0 after the Seahawks scored three runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning.
  • The first Keiser run in the fourth inning came when Pena singled through the left side with runners on second and third, plating Myott from third.
  • Mundo plated the final two runs in the inning with a single to left center, bringing Curtis home from third and Tyler Hitt from second.
  • The Panthers had runners on the corners with two outs and a chance to score until Jeremy Vasquez grounded back up the middle to Keatts to end the threat.
  • Davenport plated its first run in the top of the sixth after Jake Bozzo plated Heredia from third following an RBI ground out.
  • The Seahawks responded with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to stretch their lead to 10-1.
  • Prospero brought the first two runs across the plate with one out after a sharp line drive past the shortstop, bringing home Curtis and Hitt for the 8-1 advantage.
  • After Prospero stole second, the senior then scored after Mundo reached on a fielding error.
  • Mundo later scored after Zach Saldivar's single to center field, stretching the Seahawk lead to 10-1.
  • Davenport scored the final run of the contest in the top of the seventh after Cameron Blair doubled to deep right center to bring in Austin Petravicius to finalize the score at 10-2 in favor of Keiser.

Game Two
Keiser Highlights
  • CJ Fitzpatrick finished the game 2-4 with two singles, accounting for two of the Seahawks' five hits in game two.
  • Daniel Garmendia picked up the loss in the decision, pitching five innings of work and yielding three runs, two of which were earned.

Turning Point
Heredia's RBI single through the left side of the infield proved to be all that the Panthers needed to down the Seahawks. Heredia's RBI single provided Davenport with the 1-0 advantage that would not be relinquished.

How it Happened
  • Davenport broke through first in the top of the opening inning with Heredia's RBI single with nobody out, plating Brian Sobieski for the 1-0 advantage.

  • However, Pena struck out swinging on an 0-2 count to end the Keiser threat.
  • Keiser once again had the chance to plate the tying run in the bottom of the second inning with runners on the corners with two outs.
  • This time it would be Fitzpatrick who struck out swinging on an 0-2 count to end the inning.
  • The Davenport lead was doubled to two when Larkin-Guilfoyle grounded into a bases-loaded double play with nobody out, plating Sobieski from third.
  • The Panthers added an insurance run in the top of the sixth when Matt Hoge reached on a fielder's choice, picking up the RBI in the process as Anthony DiPonio scored from second.
