Game One
Keiser Highlights
  • Gabby Mundo and CJ Fitzpatrick combined for four of the Seahawk's nine hits, recording two hits apiece in the loss.
  • Tivon Faneyte finished the game going 1-4 with a two-run home run in the fourth inning for his team-leading sixth dinger on the season.
  • Daniel Garmendia began the game on the mound for the Seahawks, pitching seven complete innings and yielding just two runs on four hits, while punching out 11 batters.

Turning Point
The bottom of the ninth inning was the turning point in game one of Saturday's doubleheader. The Seahawks fended off a late Webber rally yesterday but could not hold the Warriors at bay as Webber scored three runs on four hits and two Keiser errors in the bottom of the ninth. Cristian Rivera's walk-off single capped off the come-from-behind win for Webber.

How it Happened
  • Keiser and Webber combined for just two hits in the first three innings in what looked to be a pitcher's duel.
  • After a Keivan Berges walk with one out in the top of the fourth, Faneyte placed the Seahawks on top after unloading on a two-run homerun, his sixth of the season.
  • Both offenses stalled until the bottom of the seventh inning when Marcus Begg knotted the game at 2-2 with a two-run home run of his own.
  • The Warriors still threatened in the inning with the bases juiced and just one out.
  • However, Garmendia settled down to strike out Rivera and then induce an inning-ending pop fly off the bat of Manny Rodriguez to keep the game square at two.
  • Keiser capitalized on Webber's missed opportunity in the top of the eighth when Berges singled down the right field line with runners on first and second, bringing Mundo in to score for the 3-2 advantage.
  • Two batters later, Carlos Pena added an insurance run for the Seahawks, roping a single to center field to bring home Shane Olive for the 4-2 advantage.
  • The Warriors would not go away quietly as Matt Piatt and Garrett Martin led off the ninth inning with back-to-back hits.
  • Jesse Coleman tied the game up on the very next at bat with a single to right field that was mishandled allowing Coleman to advance to third and Piatt and Martin to cross the plate.
  • After Jeremy Graf induced a ground out to record the first out of the frame, Rivera singled sharply through the right side of the infield to bring the winning run home from third, capping off the 5-4 comeback win.

Game Two
Keiser Highlights
  • Keiser was held to just four hits in game two of Saturday's doubleheader as Mundo, Berges, Pena and Fitzpatrick notched one hit each.
  • Miguel Castellanos picked up just his first loss on the season, pitching six innings and giving up three runs on seven hits.

Turning Point
Brady Mintell's performance on the mound for Webber was the difference maker in game two of the doubleheader. Mintell yielded just four hits through nine innings, striking out three batters in the process.

How it Happened
  • Keiser had a chance for the early lead in the top of the second inning with runners on second and third with two outs until Tom Prospero harmlessly flew out to center field to end the threat.
  • The Warriors struck first in the bottom of the third as Begg and Piatt recorded consecutive RBI singles for the 2-0 advantage.
  • Connor Clayton extended the Webber lead to 3-0 with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the sixth inning off Castellanos.
  • The Seahawks were held hitless in the final three innings, solidifying the 3-0 Webber victory.
