- The Seahawks did bring a run across the plate in the bottom of the second when Tom Prospero scored from third after a catcher's indifference on deciding to attempt to throw Gabby Mundo down at second on a delayed steal.
- Keiser added a second run in the bottom of the third as Brad Myott laced a one-out RBI single up the middle to bring Tivon Faneyte in from second for the 2-0 advantage.
- Olivet Nazarene cut the Keiser lead in half in the top of the fourth with Kurtis Minton's one-out RBI ground out to bring in Klendworth from third.
- Neither squad threatened to score again in the contest as both squads combined for just three hits in the final three innings of play.

- Miguel Castellanos went the distance in game two, pitching seven innings of work and surrendering three runs, of which two were earned, on six hits.
