  • Keivan Berges led the squad in RBIs with a two-run shot in the fifth inning, his first home run of the season.
  • Brandon Acevedo was called upon to start for the Seahawks, earning the win after pitching six innings and surrendering just one run on five hits while sitting down four Royal batters.
  • Johnathan Clarke and Matt Zino combined for three hitless innings of work, striking out two batters and allowing just one runner on base.

Turning Point
The turning point in today's contest was the massive fifth inning for Keiser as the Seahawks plated six runs on five hits and two Warner errors. The inning was capped off by the Berges homer that provided the Seahawks with the 6-1 lead.

How it Happened
  • After both teams were held hitless in the first inning, the Warner Royals jumped on the board in the bottom of the second when Sotolongo led off the inning with a solo shot.
  • Keiser remained hitless until the fifth inning when Jack Curtis singled, advancing Brad Myott to third after a walk to start the inning.
  • Carlos Pena then plated the first Keiser run with a single of his own, bringing Myott home and advancing Curtis to second.
  • After Prospero's single loaded the bases, Gabby Mundo reached on a fielding error and Curtis came across the plate for the go-ahead run with no outs.
  • Dylan Dore then reached on a fielder's choice as Mundo was thrown out at second and Prospero and Pena scored for the 4-2 lead.
  • Berges then cleared the bases with a two-run shot to cap off the six-run top of the fifth for the Seahawks.
  • Warner could not muster any more than two hits over the next two innings as Keiser held the Royals offense at bay.
  • The Seahawks plated one more run in the top of the seventh when Faneyte roped a double, bringing Berges home from second for the 7-1 advantage.
  • The final run of the contest came when Shane Olive drew a bases-loaded walk with two outs, bringing Faneyte across the plate for the 8-1 victory.
