Game 1
Keiser Highlights
  • The Seahawks put on a hitting clinic, tallying 16 hits in game one which marks the third most hits in a single game this season.
  • CJ Fitzpatrick and Steven Seiter each finished the contest batting 3-4, combining for two RBIs and four runs.
  • Tivon Faneyte and Keivan Berges each blasted a home run in game one.
  • Kyle Keatts pitched yet another gym, earning his third win of the season after throwing six scoreless innings and allowing just three hits.

Turning Point
Keiser did not have to dig too far to turn the game around in its favor, plating six runs in the top of the second to quickly jump on the Night Hawks. Fitzpatrick and Dylan Dore each recorded two RBIs during the explosive inning in which the Seahawks notched six hits.

How it Happened
  • After a scoreless first inning, Keiser plated six runs in the second for the early 6-0 advantage that would never be relinquished.
  • With runners on second and third with no outs in the top of the second, Fitzpatrick singled down the right field line to plate Carlos Pena and Jack Curtis for the 2-0 advantage.
  • After a Seiter single and a Tom Prospero walk loaded the bases, the Seahawks scored another run when Gabby Mundo popped out to center field for the sacrifice fly, bringing Fitzpatrick home to score.
  • With Seiter and Prospero on the corners with one out, Dore recorded two RBIs with a double to deep left field to give Keiser the 5-0 advantage.
  • The final run of the inning came from an RBI single by Curtis who started the inning off with a leadoff walk.
  • The Seahawks added an insurance run in the top half of the third inning when Prospero singled to center field, plating Fitzpatrick from third for the 7-0 lead.
  • Keiser was not done as the Seahawks scored for the third straight inning after Berges and Faneyte belted back-to-back home runs to open the top of the fourth.
  • The Seahawks lead was stretched to 10-0 in the top of the fourth when Prospero collected another RBI with a single to center field to plate Fitzpatrick once again.
  • The Night Hawks were held hitless until the bottom of the fourth after Melo and Westbrook recorded back-to-back singles but were unable to cut into the deficit.
  • The final run of the game came via the bases-loaded sacrifice fly from Pena, bringing Berges in to score for the 11-0 lead.
  • Johnathan Clarke came in to relieve Keatts in the bottom of the seventh, keeping Thomas off the scoreboard and allowing Keiser to end the game early due to the 10-run mercy rule that was brought into play after seven innings.

Game 2
Keiser Highlights
  • Five different Seahawks finished the game with two hits, combining for 10 of Keiser's 13 hits during the game.
  • Daniel Garmendia earned his first win of the season on the mound, pitching six innings of work and allowing just two hits and one unearned run.

Turning Point
The turning point in game two came in the top of the fifth inning when Keiser scored four runs, all with two outs in the frame. After Dore and Berges picked up the first two outs, the Seahawks were able to plate four runs on four hits and one Thomas error to blow the game wide open with the 6-1 advantage that would not be relinquished.

How it Happened
  • The Seahawks wasted no time in getting on the scoreboard as Faneyte lifted a sacrifice fly to right field to bring Dore across the plate for the early 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
  • Keiser doubled its lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning when Mundo singled up the middle and plated Tyler Hitt from second base.
  • Thomas cut the Keiser lead in half in the bottom of the third when Melo flew out to left field for the sacrifice fly, scoring Place from third.
  • Keiser then turned on the bats in the top of the fifth, scoring four runs on four hits to open the lead to 6-1.
  • The scoring began when Pena reached on a throwing error and Saldivar scored from second with two outs in the inning.
  • The Seahawks lead was extended to 4-1 when Curtis roped a single to right field to bring Pena home from first.
  • The final two Keiser runs came off the bat of Shane Olive who doubled to right field to bring Fitzpatrick and Curtis around the bases to score.
  • The final Seahawk run of the game came in the top of the sixth inning when Berges scored from third on a throwing error from the catcher who was attempting to hose Saldivar at second.
  • The Night Hawks struck for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring three runs off Berges that included a two-run shot to left field off the bat of Melo to pull Thomas to within three, 7-4.
  • Connor Morrison entered the game in the bottom of the eighth as the relief pitcher for Keiser, surrendering one run on a Murphy single to center field that pulled Thomas to within two runs.
  • The Night Hawks edged closer in the bottom of the ninth inning when Summers scored on a wild pitch by Morrison with two outs in the inning.
  • However, Morrison induced a pop up back to the pitcher's mound by Long to end the Thomas threat and cap off the 7-6 victory.
