The No. 11 ranked Keiser Seahawks swept Webber by the final score of 7-0 as Keiser improved to 4-2 on the year and 3-0 in conference play.
 
Doubles
  • The pair of teams only played two doubles matches with Keiser winning both, beginning with Megan Bianco and Julianna Heino downing Eva Nusbaum and Juliana Fuentes, 8-0.
  • Juliana Goncalves and Teodora Stanciu stretched the Keiser lead to 2-0 after besting Manuela Vazquez and Alissa Riedel, 8-0.
 
Singles
  • Keiser ran its score to 3-0 when Webber forfeited the No. 5 singles slot to Stanciu after not fielding enough players.
  • Goncalves, ranked 22nd in the ITA rankings, swept through Vazquez from the No. 3 singles spot, 6-0, 6-0, to pull Keiser to within one of clinching the match.
  • Heino provided the match-clinching win from the No. 2 singles position, winning 6-0, 6-0 over Fuentes.
  • With the match clinched, Bianco defeated Nusbaum in the No. 1 singles position (6-1, 6-0), while Samantha Guy capped off the performance with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 4 hole over Riedel.

"Much like the men, it was also very important for the ladies to get on and off the court today, playing well and not spending too much time on the court," stated head coach Daniel Finn. "The week ahead will certainly be a challenging one for the ladies with Barry on Monday and then Xavier and Georgia Gwinnett at the end of the week."
 
Up Next
Keiser will return to action on Monday when the Seahawks travel south to Miami to take on NCAA Division II Barry at 3 p.m.
