Turning Point
A 17-0 run by Florida Memorial proved to be the difference this afternoon after the Seahawks had climbed to within one, 40-39 out of the halftime break.   

How it Happened
  • Despite connecting on their first three shots of the game, the Seahawks trailed Florida Memorial 8-7 with 6:49 remaining.
  • The Lions lifted the margin to 16-10 at the first media timeout, but Keiser scored the next four points to force an FMU timeout at the 2:32 mark.
  • The teams then traded baskets with Florida Memorial holding a 20-16 advantage heading into the second quarter.
  • Florida Memorial opened the frame on a 10-3 run to lead 30-19 before Meade scored five straight points to get within 30-24 with 6:09 to go.
  • The Lions responded with a 10-4 spurt to raise the margin to 40-28, but the Seahawks closed out the half with seven unanswered points to trail 40-35 at the intermission.
  • Davis and Ash connected on jumpers to open the third, trimming the deficit to 40-39.
  • However, Florida Memorial answered with a 17-0 run to stretch their advantage to 57-39 with 4:00 left in the quarter.
  • The Seahawks closed out the quarter on a 6-2 spurt to trail 59-45 going into the final quarter of play.
  • Keiser outscored the Lions 25-19 in the fourth quarter and got as close as 76-71 in the final two minutes of the game but came up short on the afternoon, 78-70.
