Keiser Highlights
- The Seahawks kicked off the Keiser Classic with an 82-77 setback against No. 22 Lawrence Tech University. KU head coach Pam Oswald went against former player and current head Blue Devils coach Kylene Spiegel.
- Donivan Dyson led three Keiser players in double figures with 20 points including two from beyond the arc. Kyrah James (15 points) and Nikki Saunders (13 points) came off the bench to help the scoring.

Turning Point
The second quarter proved to be the difference this evening as the Seahawks were outscored 23-10 and trailed at the halftime break 40-27. The game was tied after the first quarter at 17-apiece.
How it Happened
- Lawrence Tech clung to a 4-2 lead before a Kelly Meade jumper and Kelsi Ash three-pointer put the Seahawks in front 7-4 with 8:13 showing.
- The Blue Devils responded with a 12-2 spurt to regain a 16-9 advantage and force Keiser into a timeout at the 3:02 mark.
- KU responded out of the stoppage with an 8-2 run to close out the quarter, highlighted by a James falling out of bounds three-pointer from the corner to tie the game at 17-17.
- Lawrence Tech then used a 10-1 spurt to start the second, stretching their lead to 27-18 before a Dyson three-pointer and a Ja'nea Davis bucket cut it to 27-23 at the 6:10 mark.
- However, the Blue Devils closed out the half outscoring KU 13-4 to lead 40-27 at the halftime break.
- The third quarter was back-and-forth with Lawrence Teach barely outscoring Keiser 24-21 to hold a 64-48 advantage going into the final quarter.
- The Seahawks controlled the fourth quarter of play by outscoring the visitors 29-18 but fell in the end, 82-77.
- Keiser finally got the deficit to single digits at eight, 77-69, with 1:05 left in the contest on a fast break layup by James.
- The Seahawks then closed out the final minute of play on an 8-4 spurt but came up short in the end.
