- The Wolves pushed the margin to 15-11 before Meade connected on a three-pointer from the left corner to get within 15-14 with 58 seconds to play.
- Cardinal Stritch then nailed a jumper with 21 seconds remaining to make it 17-14, heading into the second quarter of play.
- Keiser opened the period on a 5-2 spurt to knot the game, 19-19, at the 6:23 mark. Long and Dyson combined for the five points in the span.
- However, the Wolves answered with an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to regain a 27-19 advantage.
- The Seahawks closed to within four on two occasions before heading into the intermission, trailing 31-25.
