Turning Point
With the game looking like it was heading to overtime tied at 77, a foul was called on Sarenac that gave the Tritons three free throw attempts in the game's final seconds. Blake Morrow hit all three to give Eckerd a 80-77 lead with two seconds on the clock.

How it Happened
- A pair of three-pointers to open the game from Goss and Andrija Matic put the Seahawks out in front 6-3 in the opening minute.
- The next seven minutes saw seven lead changes and two ties and neither team taking a lead larger than three.
- Trailing 22-20, Mark Radulovic converted an old fashion three-point play after being fouled on a layup to put the Seahawks up 23-22, forcing the Tritons to take a timeout.
- Out of the timeout, the Seahawks went on a 15-8 run capped off by a McClenton layup to extend their lead to 38-30 with just over five and a half minutes to play.
- However, the Tritons responded with an 11-0 run to retake the lead, 41-38, with 1:53 left in the half.
- On the next possession, Sarenac hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 41, sparking an 8-0 run to close out the half for the Seahawks to jump ahead 46-41 going into the break.
- The Tritons opened the second half with an 8-3 run to tie the contest at 49-apiece at the 17:57 mark.
- KU responded by scoring 11 of the games next 15 points to widen their lead to seven points, 60-53, their largest of the half, with just under 12 minutes remaining.
- With the score, 67-61 favoring KU, Eckerd used a 9-2 spurt to reclaim a 70-69 advantage with 2:52 to play.
- The Tritons held off KU until the 1:21 mark when Sarenac converted a pair of free throws to give the Seahawks a 74-72 lead.
- Eckerd matched Sarenac's free throws with a pair of their own to tie the game but Goss connected on a jumper and split a pair of free throws to hold a 77-74 lead with 32 seconds to go.
- However, the Tritons responded with a three-pointer to tie the game just six seconds later to set up a thrilling finish.
- KU had two attempts to take a lead in the games closing seconds but were unable to capitalize.
- With the game tied at 77, a shooting foul was called against Sarenac that set up three free throws for Eckerd, which were converted.
- Down 80-77 with the ball at midcourt, the Seahawks had one final attempt to tie the game, but Goss's three-pointer at the buzzer came up short, falling to Eckerd College 80-77 in an exhibition contest.
