Turning Point
After the Seahawks climbed to within one, 64-63 at the 5:15 mark of the second half, the Spartans went on a 9-0 run to stretch the margin to 73-63 with 1:53 left in regulation.

How it Happened
- Tampa jumped out to a 7-3 lead before a McClenton tip-in and three free throws by Goss put Keiser ahead 8-7 with 14:10 left in the half.
- The Spartans quickly retook a 12-8 advantage but Goss tallied four straight points to tie the game at 12-12, heading into the media timeout at the 11:17 mark.
- After three lead changes, Mckewin scored five of the games next seven points to give the Seahawks a 23-18 advantage with 6:50 remaining in the half.
- Tampa responded with a 6-0 spurt to go back in front 24-23 but a McClenton dunk off an assist by Matthew Giroux made it 25-24, with 5:46 to go.
- However, Keiser went into the halftime break trailing the Spartans, 34-31.
- The Spartans came out of the locker room on a 7-0 run to take a 41-31 lead and force KU into a timeout at the 18:24 mark.
- Out of the timeout, Goss hit a three-pointer and McClenton nailed a jumper in the paint to pull within 41-36.
- UT regrouped and pushed the margin to the largest of the game, 55-43, when a Marko Orlic layup sparked an 11-0 run to trail, 55-54, with 9:17 left in the contest.
- The Seahawks got as close as one on two occasions, 60-59 and 64-63 before Tampa used a 9-0 run to take a 73-63 lead at the 1:53 mark.
- KU wouldn't go down quietly as a McClenton dunk and Mckewin hit a three-pointer while being fouled to trail, 73-68, with 21 seconds to go.
- Tampa converted on their free throws down the stretch and came away with the 79-68 win on the evening.
