No. 23 Men's Basketball Winning Streak Snapped by Thomas 66-61

KU HIGHLIGHTS
- Deion McClenton broke the school record for rebounds with 22 this afternoon. He had 6 offensive and 16 defensive. Also with his three blocks today, he now has 101 for his career.
- The loss this afternoon snaps a 12 game winning streak and is the first at home this season.
- Prior to the game, head coach Rollie Massimino was honored for earning his 800th career win earlier this season.

TURNING POINT
The Seahawks got to within 51-49 at the 6:51 mark of the second half when Thomas used a 5-0 spurt to extend their lead to 56-49. This was the closest Keiser would get until there was 30 seconds remaining in regulation.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stanley Whittaker scored the first four points of the game but Thomas knotted the game at 5-5. After an Andrija Sarenac three pointer, the Nighthawks scored the next four points to take their first lead of 9-8 with 15:41 to go in the first.
- Stefan Zecevic connected on a jumper to go back in front 10-9 but Thomas responded with a 6-0 run to take their largest lead of the half of 15-10 with 13:17 remaining.
-The Seahawks answered with a 5-2 spurt to get within 17-16 but a Thomas three pointer extended the margin to 19-16. Trystan Pratapas matched the thee pointer with one of his own to tie the game at 19-19 at the 9:42 mark.
- Following two ties and two lead changes and KU trailing 24-22, a Zecevic three pointer started an 8-0 run to regain a 30-24 advantage.
- The Nighthawks outscored Keiser 11-3 down the stretch to take a 35-33 advantage into the break. This was the first time all season at home that the Seahawks trailed at the half.
- McClenton scored the first eight points for Keiser in the new half but trailed Thomas 42-41 with 14:47 remaining in regulation.
- Thomas pushed the margin back out to five points at 50-45 but the Seahawks clawed back to within 51-49 behind baskets from McClenton and Tyrus Weaver with 6:57 to go.
-The Nighthawks went on to take their largest lead of 64-56 with 39 seconds left but couldn't convert free throws as Keiser used a 5-0 run getting to within 64-61 with seven seconds to play. However, Thomas connected on the next two free throws and won 66-61.
