TURNING POINT
The turning point occurred when the Seahawks were in front 73-70 with 53 seconds left in regulation and Warren Hall hit a three pointer to tie the game at 73-73 with 40 seconds to go. Warner went on to convert at the free throw line winning by a final of 76-73.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Seahawks trailed the first nine minutes despite keeping the game within one possession and tying the contest on four occasions.
- With the score knotted at 11-11, the Royals ran off seven straight points extending their lead out to 18-11 with 9:16 showing in the first half.
- Keiser answered with a 9-0 spurt to take their first lead at 20-18 with 6:07 left.
Brice Jenkins started the run with a three pointer and was capped by a
Tyrus Weaver three pointer.
-The Royals quickly retook a 21-20 advantage but a Weaver three pointer and McClenton dunk gave the Seahawks their biggest lead of the half at 25-21 with five minutes to go.
- Warner got to within 30-29 when McClenton scored giving Keiser a 32-29 advantage at the half.
- Baskets by Jenkins and McClenton extended the margin to the largest of the game at 36-31 before Warner chipped away tying the game at 39-39 with 16:16 left in regulation.
-The Royals then used a 9-3 run to put the Seahawks in their largest deficit of the game at 48-41 at the 13:38 mark.
- With Keiser trailing 58-52, four straight points by
Stefan Zecevic got the Seahawks to within 58-56 but Warner pushed the lead back to 62-58 with 5:43 left in the contest.
- A 5-0 run by the Seahawks put them back in front 63-62 but a free throw by the home team knotted the game at 62-62 with 5:08 to go.
- Keiser then used a 7-1 run pushing the margin to 69-63 with 2:23 left but again Warner responded by climbing to within one at 69-68 at the 1:47 mark.
-The Seahawks maintained their lead until Warren Hall hit a three pointer from the right corner with 40 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 73-73.
- A few late turnovers by Keiser and Warner's ability to convert at the free throw line gave Warner the 76-73 win at home.
