Keiser Highlights
  • Carlos Lopez finished the game batting 3-3 with five runs batted in, including three on a three-run jack in the bottom of the eighth inning.
  • Gabby Mundo notched three hits of his own, finishing the contest batting 3-4 and notching two RBIs.
  • The Seahawks finished the game with a season-high 18 hits, scoring 11 runs in the process.

Turning Point
The turning point in today's contest came in the top of the ninth inning. Just minutes after Lopez blasted a three-run home run to give the Seahawks an 11-10 lead in the bottom of the eighth, Keiser allowed Warner to reclaim the lead in the top of the ninth inning by committing three errors. The Royals scored two runs on just one hit and three Keiser errors to take the one-run lead into the bottom of the ninth.

How it Happened
  • The first two and a half innings belonged to the visiting Royals as Warner claimed a 5-0 advantage heading into the bottom of the third.
  • The Seahawks fought back in the bottom of the frame, scoring four runs including a two-run single by Mundo.
  • Keiser then tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth inning when Steven Seiter roped a double to deep center field, plating Dylan Dore to even the contest at 5-5.
  • The Seahawks then captured their first lead of the contest in the bottom of the fifth inning when Jack Curtis plated Tivon Faneyte on an RBI single, capping off six unanswered runs for the Seahawks.
  • Warner retaliated with a five-run inning in the top of the sixth, including a bases-clearing double from Rodocker.
  • Once again the Seahawks fought back, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning off of a Brad Myott and Lopez single to bring Keiser to within two.
  • With the Seahawks trailing 10-8 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Lopez stepped up to the plate and ripped his second three-run bomb in as many games to give the Seahawks the brief 11-10 advantage, heading into the top of the ninth.
  • Brandon Acevedo stayed on the mound for the Seahawks, trying to pick up the win in the process.
  • Acevedo surrendered just one hit in the top of the ninth but three Seahawk errors cost Keiser two runs as the Royals reclaimed the 12-11 advantage.
  • The Seahawks would not go away quietly as the Seahawks had runners on the corners with no outs following a Mundo walk.
  • Myott and Mundo were simultaneously the first two outs of the bottom of the ninth as Myott struck out swinging and Mundo was caught stealing second base in the process.
  • Keiser was still not counted out of the contest as Faneyte and Lopez drew back-to-back walks to load the bases for Curtis with two outs.
  • Curtis found the pitch he was looking for but all he could do was pop the ball up to second base to end the contest, stranding the tying run on third.
