Senior Johanna Engberg scored a second-half game winning goal as Keiser played to a 1-0 victory against visiting NCAA Division II Lynn on Thursday at Arrigo Vecellio Soccer Field. The Seahawks are now 1-0-0 and will host Palm Beach Atlantic on Monday at 3 p.m.

 
Turning Point
Third time was the charm as Keiser capitalized on its third shot on goal with Engberg continuing where she left off a season ago. The senior forward received the perfect cross from Filippa Millqvist from the left side of the box. Engberg placed a nifty header into the far post, notching her first goal of the season and giving the Seahawks the one-goal advantage.

 
How it Happened
  • The Seahawks started the season on a strong note, defeating NCAA Division II opponent Lynn by the final score of 1-0.
  • The two squads drew the 0-0 tie in the first half despite Keiser outshooting the Fighting Knights 6-4 in the first half.
  • Engberg and Millqvist each narrowly missed netting a goal in the first 50 minutes, with both shots sailing past the left side of the post.
