The #4 Keiser University baseball team took down #1 seed USCB on Sunday evening 15-3. The Seahawks advance to the Sun Conference Championship game tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM against St. Thomas. If Keiser fell in the contest, a second game against STU would be played at 3:00 PM.
 

• South Carolina Beaufort jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first but an RBI single to left by Keivan Berges in the bottom half cut the deficit to 2-1.
• The Seahawks then erupted with eight runs on eight hits in the second inning. The first three came off RBI singles from Andrew Danner, Gabby Mundo, and Jack Curtis, taking a 4-2 advantage. A sacrifice fly to center by Brad Myott upped the margin to 5-2, a double down the left field line by Tyler Goff made it 6-2 and RBI singles by Casey Mullennix, and Jesus Fuenmayor extended the advantage to 9-2.
• Sacrifice flies by Myott in the third and Fuenmayor in the fourth pushed the lead to 11-2.
• The fifth inning included a pair of sacrifice flies by Curtis and Goff and an RBI double to right by Myott extending the margin to 14-2.
•  A passed ball in the eighth plated the final run of the game for Keiser making it 15-2. The Sand Sharks pushed one run across in the bottom half falling 15-3.
• Luis Roman (3-1) started and went 5.2 innings with two strikeouts.
