#19 Baseball Drops a Pair to Warner

The #19 Keiser University baseball team dropped a pair of conference road games to Warner on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks fell to 27-15 overall and 10-6 in Sun Conference games.


Game 1: Warner defeated Keiser 5-0.
  • The Royals plated three runs in the third, one in the seventh and one in the eighth to win 5-0.
  • Keiser managed just three hits with Keivan Berges having two of them. Danny Arroyo had the other in a pinch hitting position.
  • Kyle Keatts took the loss going seven innings.

Game 2: The Royals took down the Seahawks 14-4 in seven innings.
  • Brad Myott gave Keiser an early 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI single to left field, but Warner answered with a run in the bottom half and two in the second for a 3-1 advantage.
  • After the first two Seahawks were retired in the third, Keivan Berges drilled the first pitch he saw over the left center fence getting to within 3-2.
  • The Royals responded with two in the third and two in the fourth stretching the lead to 7-2. Dylan Dore and Berges led off the fifth with singles and a Myott single to right scored Dore making it 7-3. However, Warner again scored two in the bottom half and two in the sixth upping the advantage to 11-3.
  • Pinching hitting Brandon Crawford scored the final Keiser run in the seventh with two outs on an RBI single to center to trail 11-4. The Royals then pushed three across in the bottom half to end the game early.
  • Berges started the game and went three innings with two strikeouts.
  • Berges and Myott had three hits apiece in the game.

Keiser returns home on Tuesday when they welcome St. Thomas for a non-conference game at 3:00 p.m.
