The #23 Keiser University baseball team cruised past Florida Memorial in a non-conference road game on Tuesday afternoon. The Seahawks improved to 31-16 overall on the season.
 

• The Seahawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first on an RBI single through the left side by Keivan Berges. Florida Memorial tied it in the third but the Seahawks retook the lead in the fifth with five runs.
• Andrew Danner led off with a double to left and moved to third on a Dylan Dore sacrifice bunt. A Gabby Mundo RBI single up the middle made it 2-1 and an RBI single to left by Jack Curtis extended the advantage to 4-1. An RBI bunt to the pitcher by Miguel Casanueva made it 5-1 and a throwing error by the catcher capped the scoring in the inning at 6-1.
• In the sixth, an RBI groundout by Mundo pushed the lead to 7-1 and a Berges double to left field upped it to 8-1.
• Two Florida Memorial errors in the eighth led to two Keiser runs and a sacrifice fly to center by Casaneuva won the game 11-1 in shortened contest.
• Berges had a game high three hits while Danner and Goff had two apiece helping Keiser outhit FMU 12-4.
• Luis Roman picked up the win going five innings with three strikeouts while giving up just three hits. Doug Wright gave up one hit in two innings of relief and Tylor Craft struck out all three batters he faced in the eighth.

Keiser returns home on Friday to begin a three game series against St. Thomas. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
