The #15 Keiser University baseball team took both games of a Sunday doubleheader against #6 Davenport University. The Seahawks improved to 15-5 overall after the three game series sweep.
Game 1: The Seahawks defeated the Panthers 8-1.
- The Panthers got on the board in the first with a two out solo homer to right center, before Keiser used a huge fourth inning, scoring eight runs.
- Dylan Dore led off with a single to first and Keivan Berges brought him home on a two run homer to left center for a 2-1 lead. The Seahawks then loaded the bases with no outs and RBI walks to Jack Curtis and Miguel Casanueva upped it to 4-1.
- After the first batter was retired, Gabby Mundo was hit by a pitch and Dore was walked pushing the advantage to 6-1. A sacrifice fly to right by Berges made it 7-1 and a Brad Myott single up the middle pushed the advantage to 8-1.
- Kyle Keatts threw a complete game moving to 4-0 on the year. He only allowed three hits with four strikeouts.
- Myott had a game high three hits helping the Seahawks outhit Davenport 7-3.
Game 2: Keiser defeated Davenport 11-3 to complete the sweep.
- Davenport took a 1-0 lead in the second on a sacrifice fly to right center, and a single to third upped the advantage to 2-0.
- The first pitch of the second inning to Carlos Lopez was belted to left center field getting to within 2-1. However, Davenport got the run back with an RBI single making it 3-1 before Keiser tied it in the third with two runs.
- Jonathan Cata led off with a single to right and pinch runner Tyler Hitt stole second. A Mundo single to short put runners on the corners but Mundo was thrown out stealing second. Two straight errors followed by the Panthers tying the game at 3-3.Â
- Keiser took their first lead of the game in the fourth at 4-3 on a two out, RBI single through the right side by Mundo. The Seahawks loaded the bases and Myott cleared them with an RBI double to right center making it 7-3. A fielding error by the third basemen upped it to 8-3 and a Curtis double to left made it 9-3.
- In the fifth, the Seahawks loaded the bases with no outs and two straight sacrifice flys by Dore and Myott pushed the lead to 11-3. Â
- Weston Wuthrich threw a complete game moving to 2-1. He had three strikeouts and no walks.
- Lopez, Mundo, and Cata had two hits apiece.

The Seahawks return to the field tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m. when they welcome Spring Arbor.
