The #15 Keiser University baseball team beat NCAA Division II Fairmont State 4-2 on Monday afternoon in a seven inning contest. The Seahawks improved to 22-6 overall on the year.
 

• The first pitch to Keivan Berges in the first was drilled over the left center fence for an early 1-0 lead. A Carlos Lopez RBI single through the left side scored Brad Myott who doubled to left field upping the margin to 2-0.
• Keiser extended their lead to 3-0 in the fourth on an RBI single through the right side by Miguel Casanueva plating Jack Curtis who reached on a walk.
• The Falcons pushed two runs across in the fifth getting within 3-2. However, the Seahawks got a run back in the sixth when Curtis doubled and two straight wild pitches scored him winning the game 4-2.
• Miguel Pena (4-3) went four innings with four strikeouts and no walks. Damian Boyum picked up the save (3), throwing three perfect innings.
• Berges had two hits helping Keiser outhit the Falcons 8-7.

The Seahawks return to action at home on Friday when they welcome Sun Conference opponent Webber for a three game series. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
