The #11 Keiser University baseball team came from behind to defeat Webber International 5-4 in game one of a three game series on Friday afternoon. The Seahawks improved to 23-6 overall and 7-3 in Sun Conference play.
 

• The Warriors led 4-3 in the 11th, when the first pitch to Keivan Berges was crushed over the left field fence to walk off with a 5-4 win.
• In the eighth with the game tied 2-2, Brandon Crawford had a pinch hit solo homer to left center for a 3-2 advantage but a balk in the ninth knotted it at 3-3 sending it into extra innings.
• Webber jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third on an RBI double to right center before Keiser plated two in the fifth. 
• A solo homer to left by Carlos Lopez made it 2-1 and an RBI single to short by Jesus Fuenmayor tied it at 2-2.
• Steven Bruce threw nine innings, while striking out ten. This is the second straight game Bruce has gone nine innings. Damian Boyum picked up the win (4-1) throwing two innings, giving up one hit..
• Brad Myott had two hits helping Keiser outhit Webber 9-8.

These same two teams will meet tomorrow in a doubleheader at a new start time of 10:00 a.m. Game two will follow after.
