The #9 Keiser University men's basketball team ran past Florida Memorial 82-70 on Wednesday evening in Sun Conference play. The Seahawks improved to 23-3 overall and are 11-2 in TSC contests.
How it Happened - Keiser jumped out to a 13-0 advantage before Florida Memorial got on the board with 17:09 showing on the clock.
- The Seahawks led 27-16, when a Tyrus Weaver three pointer sparked a 10-0 run taking their largest lead of the game of 37-16 with 8:02 remaining in the half.
- Florida Memorial cut the deficit to 42-32 heading into the locker room. Keiser connected on seven three pointers in the half.
- Stefan Zecevic scored five of the first eight points of the new half pushing the lead to 50-32 with 18:41 to go in regulation.
- The Lions outscored the Seahawks 31-15 over the next 12 minutes getting to within a possession at 65-63 with 6:30 left.
- Keiser responded with a quick 7-0 run upping the advantage to 72-63 with 5:05 remaining and went on to win by the final of 82-70.
