Turning Point
The turning point came in the final three minutes of the opening half when the Seahawks soared to a 14-0 run to conclude the second quarter, taking a 35-18 lead into the locker room. The run was sparked by back-to-back layups from Dominique Winbush and Claudia Reque. Reque and Caity Riley each knocked down one triple during the run to aid the Seahawks in the 17-point lead at the break.

  • The two squads began the game with five ties in the first 18 points as both teams were deadlocked at 9-9 with 1:56 remaining in the first quarter.
  • The Seahawks ended the frame on an 8-0 run to conclude the quarter, led by six points from Miah Shephard.
  • Keiser stretched its lead to 20-11 midway through the second quarter after a Kaylee Patton three pointer.
  • The Lions then raced out to a 7-1 run to trim the Keiser lead to just three points with 3:26 remaining in the first half.
  • The Seahawks held Florida Memorial at bay, ending the quarter on a 14-0 run that was led by Reque's five points and a corner triple from Riley.
  • With the Lions trailing 39-22 with 5:42 remaining in the third quarter, Florida Memorial went on a 10-0 run to trim the Keiser lead to just seven.
  • Keiser finished the third quarter on a 6-0 run led by four points from Shephard that stretched the Seahawk lead back to 13 to conclude the quarter.
  • The Seahawks stretched their lead to as much as 22 in the fourth quarter following the jumper by Kelsi Ash with 5:49 remaining in the game.
  • The Lions clawed away at the lead, cutting the Keiser advantage down to 10, but it was too little too late as the Seahawks capped off a convincing 64-51 victory.
