How it Happened
Set One:
Keiser opened up the first set on an 8-2 run and did not look back as the Seahawks comfortably bested Florida National in the opening set by the final score of 25-11. The Conquistadors never pulled any closer than five points, finding the Keiser offense too difficult to handle. The Seahawks dominated with a hitting percentage of .478, holding Florida National to just .067. Keiser maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the set after stretching the advantage to 18-8. Zamora led the way with five kills and a hitting percentage of .714, meanwhile Papineau racked up nine assists in the opening set.

Set Two:
Keiser started the second set with another comfortable lead through the first 10 points, leading the Conquistadors 7-3. Florida National trimmed the deficit to three before the Seahawks scored five unanswered points. Zamora, Papineau and McKown each recorded a kill during the 5-0 spurt. Keiser then stretched the lead to double digits for the first time in the set, taking a 16-6 lead. The Seahawks held the Conquistadors in check for the rest of the set, putting away the 25-12 victory. Keiser recorded a hitting percentage of .500 in the second set, holding Florida National to .069.

Set Three:
The third set proved to be closer as the two squads were tied through the first 10 points. The Seahawks began to pull away over the next 10 points, opening up a 12-8 advantage over the visiting Conquistadors. Keiser extended the lead even further over the next 10 points, stretching their lead to 18-12. Zamora notched two kills during the stretch to reach double-digit kills for the second consecutive match. The Conquistadors closed the gap to just one point after a Keiser attacking error made it 21-20. The Seahawks regained composure and momentum, winning the final four points to put away any hopes of a Florida National comeback.
