Highlights
Keiser volleyball cruised to a sixth consecutive sweep, this time sweeping Trinity College by the final score of 3-0 on Saturday evening at the Student Life Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. With the win, Keiser improves to 18-4 on the season, including 12-0 at home. Keiser finished the contest with a hitting percentage of .241, holding Trinity to .000. Samantha Thompson and Lindsey Keegan led the team in kills with six, while Nicole Papineau paved the way in assists with 12. Patricia Costa recorded a team-high eight digs to lead the Seahawks.
 
How it Happened
Set One:
The Seahawks cruised to a 25-14 first set victory over the Tigers of Trinity College. Keiser claimed its first lead of the set at 7-6 and did not relinquish the advantage. The Seahawks extended their lead to 13-8, forcing the Tigers to call a much needed timeout. Right out of the break, Keiser scored five unanswered points to take its first double-digit lead, 18-8. The Tigers could not trim the deficit any closer than eight as the Seahawks buried Trinity College behind .481 hitting percentage.
 
Set Two:
The second set began very much in favor of the home squad, scoring the first five points to take a comfortable lead. The Seahawks stretched their lead to 11-2 to take the largest lead of the set. Despite being in the hole 12-6, the Tigers scored four unanswered to trim the Keiser lead to just two. The Seahawks scored three consecutive points to reclaim the five-point advantage, keeping the Tigers in check. Keiser successfully held Trinity at bay, besting the visiting squad 25-18.
 
Set Three:
Trinity College claimed the first three points of the final set before the Seahawks jumped on board due to a Tiger error. Trinity continued momentum, claiming a 6-2 advantage over the host Seahawks. Keiser stormed back outscoring Trinity 6-1, to take an 8-7 lead and force a Tiger timeout. The Seahawks scored four unanswered out of the break to take a five-point lead before Trinity closed the gap to 12-10. Keiser did not let up, stretching the lead back to 19-12 to force another Tiger timeout. Despite Trinity chipping into the lead, the Seahawks held on to defeat the Tigers 25-21 in the final set.
