The #9 Keiser University men's basketball team edged RV Southeastern 68-64 on Tuesday evening in a Sun Conference matchup. The Seahawks moved to 20-2 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
How it Happened - Southeastern controlled the first 14 minutes of the opening half taking their largest lead of the game at 25-18. However, the Seahawks closed the half on a 12-3 run, taking a 30-28 lead into the break.
- The Fire fought back tying the game at 38-38 with 16:01 to go, but Keiser held the advantage until Southeastern went in front 51-49 with 11:10 to go in regulation.
- Both teams  exchanged four lead changes until the game was knotted one last time at 56-56 with eight minutes remaining.
- Stanley Whittaker then scored Keiser's next eight points upping their lead to 64-59 with 3:58 showing. The Fire closed to within 66-64 with 58 seconds left but Stefan Zecevic hit a jumper to seal the game, winning 68-64.
Inside the box2: Zecevic and McClenton both finished with double-doubles in points and rebounds.
