The Keiser University women's basketball team fell to St. Thomas University 44-38 in Sun Conference play on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks moved to 11-10 overall and 4-4 in TSC play.
How it Happened - After three power outages during the first quarter of play, the Bobcats jumped out to a 15-5 lead.
- St. Thomas extended their advantage to 20-7 at the 6:23 mark of the second quarter, when a Courtney Murphy three pointer sparked an 11-0 run getting to within 20-18 at the half.
- After Claudia Reque hit a floater to tie the game at 20-20, St. Thomas outscored Keiser 10-2 upping their lead to 30-22 going into the fourth.
- The Bobcats stretched their advantage to 33-24, when a Reque jumper in the paint started a 9-2 run knotting the game at 35-35 with 5:13 remaining in the contest.
- Keiser briefly took a 38-37 advantage on a Murphy three pointer at the 2:58 mark, but St. Thomas ended the game on a 7-0 run to win 44-38.
