The #4 Keiser University women's soccer team defeated Southeastern 1-0 on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Seahawks improve to 7-1-1 overall and 3-0 in Sun Conference play.
Linnea Lindmark had the game's first scoring opportunity in the tenth minute but her shot was saved. Five minutes later,
Johanna Engberg found the back of net on an assist by
Ebba Blomqvist leading 1-0. Both teams battled over the next 35 minutes, with the Seahawks forcing the Fire keeper into five saves but the score stayed 1-0.
Elin Olsson and Engberg had scoring opportunities in the 53rd minute but both of their shots were saved. The teams' defenses locked down not allowing any goals over the remainder of the half with the Seahawks prevailing 1-0.
Keiser held an 18-7 edge on shots and 12-3 shots on goal in the contest.
Louise Andersson and Lindmark had three shots apiece.

Stephanie Morini, and
Renee Brown had two shots apiece.
Felicia Sedell picked up her fourth shutout on the year making three saves.
The Seahawks return to action on Saturday traveling to Ave Maria. The kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
