The #4 Keiser University women's soccer team used a strong first half to defeat Webber International 5-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks improved to 6-1-1 overall and 2-0 in Sun Conference play with the shutout victory.

The Seahawks struck just 1:04 into the game when Johanna Engberg volleyed home a cross from Linnea Lindmark making it 1-0. Sara Lundberg doubled the lead in the 17th minute scoring off a cross from Lindmark.

Louise Andersson extended the lead to 3-0 in the 21st minute scoring off a cross from Lindmark. Engberg notched the final goal of the half, heading in a cross from Andersson making it 4-0 at the break.

Lindmark scored the lone goal of the second half in the 71st minute off an assist by Andersson for the 5-0 lead. The Keiser defense did the rest preserving the shutout win.

Keiser outshot the Warriors 21-3, and 13-1 with shots on goal. Lundberg led the way with six shots while Engberg had four. Felicia Sedell made one save in goal.

The Seahawks return to the filed on Wednesday evening when they travel to Southeastern University. The kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
