Lindmark Leads #4 Women's Soccer Past Warner 10-1

The #4 Keiser University women's soccer team breezed by Warner University 10-1 on Wednesday evening in their Sun Conference opener. Linnea Lindmark led the charge with four goals and one assist on 11 shots with seven on frame.

The Seahawks struck in the sixth minute when Lindmark scored off an assist by Johanna Engberg making it 1-0. Olivia White extended the lead to 2-0 in the tenth minute scoring off an assist by Lindmark. Louise Andersson in the 19th and Engberg in the 23rd minutes scored unassisted goals stretching the advantage to 4-0.

Lindmark scored twice in the 37th minute off assists by Renee Brown and Caroline Bostrom making it 6-0. Beth Smyth scored the final goal of the half in the 44th minute for a 7-0 halftime advantage.

Engberg found the back of the net in the 51st and Lindmark in the 53rd off an assist by Andersson making it 9-0. However, Warner broke through in the 71st minute for their first goal but Stephanie Morini assisted on Andersson goal in the 73rd minute winning the game 10-1.

Keiser outshot their opponents 36-5 and 16-5 shots on goal. Andersson and Morini each recorded four shots, while Sara Lundberg and Engberg had three shots apiece. Felicia Sedell made four saves in goal.

With the win, the Seahawks improve to 5-1-1 overall and 1-0 in Sun Conference play. Keiser returns to the pitch on Saturday afternoon at home welcoming Webber International for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
