Engberg nearly had her second goal of the day in the 78th minute but her shot hit the post. The Keiser defense locked down the Cardinals in the final 12 minutes preserving the shutout victory.
The Seahawks outshot their opponents 22-8 and 8-3 in shots on goal.
Sara Lundberg and Engberg led the way with five shots apiece, while
Sofia Kristensson had two.Â

"Today was a good first game for the team. Concordia sat back and it took us awhile to break them down but we were able to break through before the half. We still have work to do but it's good to get a win in the first game of the season, but even bigger that it was a shutout," said Head Coach
Mat Dunn.
Keiser travels to NCAA Division 2 #13 Barry University on Monday night. The game is set for 7:00 p.m.
