The #9 women's tennis team shutout #24 Northwestern (Iowa) 9-0 in the opening round of the NAIA Tournament.  

Adelaide Wood and Valentina Souki in the first spot and Matilde Thibadult andRocia Merlo in the second were victorious 8-3. Livia Toth and Lola Garciacompleted the sweep in doubles with an 8-1 victory.

In singles, Northwood only gave up two points, with shutouts by Souki, Merlo, Toth, and Garcia. Wood and Thibadult blanked their opponents in the first set before giving up a point in the second.

The Seahawks advance to take on #8 Breneau in the second round tomorrow afternoon. The match is set for 1:00 p.m.
