The #3 seed women's tennis team fell to #2 seed Embry-Riddle 5-1 on Friday afternoon in the Sun Conference semifinals.
Embry-Riddle took a quick 3-0 lead despite Rocia Merlo and Mathilde Thibaudat playing a close match in the second doubles spot falling 9-7. Thibaudat scored the first point in third singles with her 6-0, 6-2 win, but the Eagles won the next two points winning the match 5-1.
Northwood concludes the regular season with an 8-6 overall record. The Seahawks will wait to see if they will receive a bid to the NAIA National Championship in Mobile, Alabama, May 12-16.
