The Northwood tennis teams swept a pair of matches against Davenport on Sunday afternoon in Orlando, Florida. The men shutout the Panthers 9-0, while the women won 8-1.
The men continue their undefeated start moving to 5-0, while the women get back to .500 with a 3-3 record.
In doubles, Northwood swept the matches with Adelaide Wood and Valentina Souki taking the first doubles 8-6. Matilde Thibadult and Rocia Merlo won a close match 9-7, while Livia Toth and Lola Garcia 7-5.
Thibadult led the way in singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win in third singles, Merlo won 6-2, 6-1 in the fourth spot.
On the men's side all three doubles teams won 8-2. Alvaro Iturriga won a hard fought one singles 7-5, easing in the second 6-0. David Uquillas won the second singles, Rafael Lenz third, Martin Martins fourth, Ignacio Osse fifth, and Guilherme Cuhna sixth.
Both tennis teams return to the court on Saturday at home when they take on Ave Maria. The match will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Gaines Park.
