The Seahawks women's basketball team held on against City College of New York 56-53 on Wednesday afternoon in the Keiser University Holiday Classic.
How it Happened - Both teams got off to slow starts before the Seahawks ended the quarter on an 8-2 run for a 15-10 lead.
- The Seahawks controlled the second quarter outscoring City College 18-5 pushing out a 33-15 lead at the half. Keiser used a 10-0 run to end the quarter while holding the Beavers without a field goal over the final four minutes.
- Keiser opened the new half on a 6-2 run taking their largest lead of the contest of 42-17 with 7:11 showing in the third.
- City College responded with a 16-0 run getting to within 44-37 with 9:11 to go in the final quarter. The Beavers then cut it to 54-53 with 56 seconds left, but a pair of Desirai Smith free throws sealed the game for Keiser winning 56-53.
