#9 Women's Soccer Shutout Florida Memorial 7-0 on Senior Day

The #8 Keiser University women's soccer team shutout Florida Memorial 7-0 on senior day. The Seahawks honored seniors Louise Andersson, Linnea Lindmark, Sofia Kristensson, and Vivian Trujillo after the game concluded.

The Seahawks got on the board in the eighth minute, when Ebba Blomqvist played the ball to the outside and Kristennson sailed a ball from 30 yards out over the keeper making it 1-0. Johanna Engberg doubled the lead in the 29th minute when she tapped in a ball that was played from the right side by Lindmark. Lindmark picked up her second assist in the 37th minute playing a ball across the box that was tapped in by Blomqvist for a 3-0 lead.

In the 44th minute, Lindmark found the back of the net off a through ball from Engberg making it 4-0 heading into the break. The Seahawks held a 17-1 advantage on shots in the half.

Engberg notched her second goal in the 53rd minute off an assist by Blomqvist upping the lead to 5-0. Five minutes later, Amanda Blixt scored off an assist by Blomqvist making it 6-0. Lindmark capped off the scoring in the 65th minute off an assist by Johana Espinal winning 7-0.

Keiser held a 41-3 edge on shots, and 11-1 advantage on corners. Engberg led the way with nine shots, while Lindmark had eight.  Sedell made two saves in goal picking up the win.

With the win, Keiser improves to 12-2-1 overall, and 8-1 in Sun Conference play. The Seahawks conclude the regular season on Wednesday traveling to Johnson & Wales. The kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
