In the first ever meeting between the women's basketball team and Embry-Riddle, saw the Eagles come away with a 75-56 win. The Seahawks go to 4-14 overall and 3-6 in Sun Conference play.

Embry-Riddle jumped out to an early 9-2 lead when two straight Emily May baskets cut it to 9-6 with 14:17 showing.  The Eagles pushed back out to 21-14 margin, but a 5-0 run by the Seahawks made it 21-19 at the 6:17 mark. Down the stretch, Northwood could not get any closer going into the half trailing 36-29.

In the new half, the Seahawks trailed 48-31 but used a 9-4 run trimming the deficit to 53-40 at the 12:20 mark. However, Northwood could not sustain any momentum down the stretch falling 75-56.

May led all scorers in the game with 23 points, while Stephanie Granada had 12. May also had a team high in rebounds with five, and Granada had four assists.

Northwood returns to action at home on Saturday when they welcome Johnson & Wales. The game will begin at 2:00 p.m.
