WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Northwood University(Fla.) women's basketball team played a close game with a strong effort, but fell to host Bryan(TN) 72-60 on Monday.
Atavia Blake led the Seahawks with 31 points on 13-for-21 shooting from field. Lakeisha Blanson scored 13 points in 19 minutes of action. Chanel Brooks was active on the glass and chipped in with 10 rebounds.
The Lady Seahawks trailed by six points at halftime, but were unable to make a run in the second half.
The Lady Seahawks committed 29 turnovers in the game, which proved to be the difference. Bryan(TN) made 20 of 30 free throws while the Lady Seahawks only went 6-of-8 from the free throw line.
The Lady Seahawks will look to bounce back as they visit the University of North Georgia on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
