WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Northwood University(Fla.) women's basketball team were unable to sustain momentum after making a run in the first half as they fell 89-47 to host North Georgia on Tuesday.
North Georgia jumped out a 29-11 lead midway through the first before the Lady Seahawks made a run. After cutting the deficit to 10 points with four minutes left in the first half, North Georgia pushed the lead to 17 points at halftime.
North Georiga shot 53 percent from the field in the second half to take control of the game.
The Lady Seahawks were ourebounded 51-30 and by an 18-4 margin in total assists. They shot just 33 percent from the field and committed 20 turnovers.
Emily May scored 12 points and had five rebounds while Chanel Brooks scored 10 points with four rebounds. Kiera Duncanson chipped in with eight points. Atavia Blake scored seven points with four rebounds before leaving the game with 14 minutes left in the second half due to cramps and an ankle sprain suffered from the previous game against Bryan(TN).
The Lady Seahawks will return to action as they visit Claflin on Saturday, November 22 at 1:30 p.m.
