WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Northwood University volleyball team were unable to find consistency throughout the match as they were swept by cross-town rival Palm Beach Atlantic (7-25, 17-25, 13-25) in a non-conference match at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center on Tuesday.
The Seahawks dropped to 10-10 overall and have a 4-4 record in the Sun Conference.
Meanwhile, Palm Beach Atlantic improved to a perfect 17-0 record and have swept 14 of their 17 matches throughout the season.
The Sailfish jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the first set and the Seahawks were unable to recover.
The Seahawks trailed 11-9 in the second set, but the Sailfish responded with eight consecutive points to pull away to take a commanding lead.
Palm Beach Atlantic had an 8-5 lead in the third set, before putting the match away with another run.
The Seahawks had 18 kills and 15 assists, but committed 26 errors.
Gida Victor had a team-high six kills while Nicole Papineau added 12 assists. Ti'Ana Fox chipped in with 15 digs.
The Seahawks turn their attention to the Clearwater Christian Tournament in Clearwater, Florida from October 10-11.
