(rv) Baseball swept the day in the Sun Conference Championship tournament on day three, advancing to the Sun Conference Championship Game on Sunday versus No. 1-ranked Southeastern. The Seahawks eliminated the No. 6-seed Ave Maria Gyrenes after winning Game Eight, 7-3. Jake Molloy pitched 4.1 innings and closed the game for Keiser. He picked up his third win of the season. After advancing, they defeated the No. 2-seed Webber Int'l Warriors by 11 runs to advance to the championship game. Chuck Fishbaugh improved his record to 7-2 with the team's second win of the day. Danny Galvan notched his first save of the season.
Notables.
  • The Seahawks are now 32-20 in the season. 
  • In the first game of the day, Ave Maria took the lead at the bottom of the first with an RBI single to left field.
  • The Seahawks answered back with five runs in the top of the third to take the lead. 
  • Kenny Di Clemente blasted a solo home run to right-center in the top of the fifth, extending the Seahawks lead.
  • The Seahawks eliminated the No. 6-seed Ave Maria.

  • In the team's second game of the day, the Seahawks dominated the No. 2-seed Webber Int'l Warriors, scoring 12 straight runs after a weather delay in the sixth..

  •  The Seahawks quickly answered back, scoring a run in the top of the fourth to cut Webber's lead.
  • The Seahawks took the lead in the top of the seventh and never looked back, scoring two runs off a throwing error from WIU's catcher.
  • Palmer Hutchison cranked a grand slam to deep left field and brought in the game's final four runs.
  • Hutchison leads the Seahawks in RBIs with 56 and second in home runs with 11.
  • Chuck Fishbaugh improved his record to 7-2 on the season.
  • Junior pitcher Danny Galvan earned his first save of the season and broke a career high 300 strikeouts in the bottom of the ninth in game two.

  • Darian Howard seized the moment, sprinting home after a throwing error by the pitcher, putting the Seahawks on the board.
  • Simon Grinberg crushed a double down the right field line, propelling Lucero and Verrier across the plate, giving the Seahawks the lead.
  • Palmer Hutchison lifted a sacrifice fly to center field, allowing Ruiz to tally another run for Keiser. 
  • With runners at the corners, Kenny Di Clemente stepped up to the plate and delivered a sharp RBI single, bringing Grinberg home to extend the Seahawks' lead.
