Sydow’s Summary
  • Sydow is entering his sixth season as an Assistant Coach for the Seahawks volleyball team
  • Helped Keiser to a 144-53 overall record and 52-23 mark in Sun Conference matches
  • Assisted in Keiser advancing to their first-ever NAIA National Tournament in 2020
  • Aided in the programs first National Tournament win over Mobile, 3-0, advancing to the NAIA Final Site
  • Assisted the Seahawks to their first Sun Conference Tournament Championship
  • Helped KU to back-to-back Regular Season Championships in 2019 and 2020
  • Aided in the programs first undefeated Regular Season in 2020, 35-0
  • Assisted with three SUN Players of the Year and two Setters of the Year
  • Helped with three NAIA All-Americans and 14 All-Conference members
  • Off the court, 24 players were named to the Academic All-Conference team and three were named NAIA Scholar Athletes
 
Pre-Keiser
Prior to coming to Keiser, Sydow spent one season as an Assistant Coach at Chowan University. Sydow helped three players earn All-CIAA Second Team honors and two players receive All-Rookie team recognition.
 
Sydow began his coaching career as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Bowling Green State University, helping the Falcons claim a share of the MAC Regular Season Championship and MAC East Division. In addition, he has worked various team camps including; University of North Carolina, Virginia Tech University, and Ohio State University.
 
Playing Career
Sydow was a four-year member of the University of Mount Olive men’s volleyball team. He was named Second Team All-Conference in 2015 and in the following year was recognized on the Middle Blocker of the Year watch list.
 
Personal
Sydow graduated from Mount Olive in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Leisure with an emphasis in Sport Management and a minor in coaching. He and his wife Madison reside in Stuart, Florida.
